Hi Guys !

Well I though it would be easy to make 1 Central
topic for reporting bugs of the Battle Field Bad Company 2 Beta.

It would be useful our members that have a problem with starting/playing BFBC2.
Also if you saw a bug ingame, you can report it here !

Bug: Leaderboards

Information About the bug
After several games when you go to the Leaderboards and push “Go to me” (don’t remember exact notation) button it highlights some random player score but not you.
Extra Information
If you use “Compare to Friends” tab (don’t remember exact notation) scores display correctly.

Couple of times I got the message when I respawned:
"You were revived by ?"
that message didnt go away till I died again.

When a Teammate is on a Sentry gun / machine gun and shoot on him (standing close while shooting) you will see pruple blocks.

Information About bug
You can find the bug in the house behind bombspot A, On the second floor you can find 2 machine guns, 1 of them is at the left side when you go up the stairs. there you can find the bug (if nobody shoot the windows yet/ the house)

You can't shoot the pole with the tank, but you can drive it to destroy it.

If you die as medic with "red dot" as specialization and after dieing change to assault you have the red dot mounted on your assault weapon

Extra Information
Only tested with the 3rd weapon as medic and the second as assault.

WHen there is a fire or explosion, thee is black static where the explosion should be.

This makes it almost imppossible to see most of the time. I was thinking it was my video card, but it is above the minimum requirement. Is this a bug from the beta, or a video card problem?

Can you add my bug ? Sorry I don't have a screenshot or video but I can't take one because I can't get ingame.. ( a server ) ...its the bug about the game freezing at loading after joining a server

Several key settings problems.

Information About bug
1. My key configuration never saves when I quit the game, it's always at default when the game is restarted.

2. Enter key cannot be used as melee (Opens menu while melee attacking), I think it always opens menu + no matter what you set it to.

3. Delete button (above arrow keys) cannot be used at all in the key settings, field stays blank after trying to use it.

My keyboard is QWERTZ (Swiss German), but I guess that shouldn't matter. Hope you can fix that, cause I'm so raged by opening the stupid menu when trying to knife someone all the time >.< ..

Yes, this is exactely it. I have tried lowering everything , but it is the same problem. The game runs at a good speed, but that is the obly problem.

you should be happy it runs with your card, when I run it with my 4870, after the login it just freezes, I get a drarkgrey striped screen and the whole PC freezes, so a restart is needed..

O.K. I fixed it. For anyone having this problem with a nvidia card, just go to their site and download the latest driver specifically for bfbc2. It works perfect now.

Twitchy scope

Information About bug/Error
When using a sniperrifle and zooming in (my experience comes from a 12x scope) the scope sometimes seems to have a cafeine addiction problem. The scope twitches up and back down very fast as if my hand is twitching my mouse up and down (which I'm not...I've checked). These are very short twitches happening once every 2 seconds on average but the rate varies wildly. The problem is most noticable when looking far ahead. Looking to a wall thats 10meters from me doesn't make the scope act this way. It's also nothing like the screen shake that occurs when shells hit nearby or the scope drift that gently wobbles up/down/left/right. The movement itself is as fast as a blink of an eye and moves the scope up/down about 2cm on my screen.

thats not a bug, the beta doesnt let u unlock all uhm ...unlocks

u cant get futher then level 11 and not more then 3 unlocked weapons for a class.

Joined a game in progress, didn't die before it ended, next round the "revived by ?" message was stuck on my screen for the whole round, even through death.

I know it's mentioned in the OP but there it said it went away with the next death, which was not the case for me.

see pic. Untill here it works fine, I can change setting setc. But when I press here LOGIN, the screen turns
fully black/grey with stripes, and only option is restart.
I do hear some BF sound in the background though...

Videocard is updated to the latest drivers, and runs BF2, Modern Warfare 2 and Crysis without a single problem.
That cannot be the issue... I run Windows 7 64-bit.
