Fake BFBC2 Beta signup sites

The Battlefield Blog has a warning about fake Bad Company 2 beta sign up pages. Remember not to ever put your information into these sites as they are fake.

As of today there is no official Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta and I wanted to warn people out there of fake/hoax sites perpetrating to have a sign-up for one. We do not have any form of beta sign-ups, nor would we ever endorse such a practice or shady url to do so. Please do not let these e-tards take advantage of your enthusiasm for BFBC2 in their scam and only give them the middle-finger if anything. So, unless you read it here or from our official Twitter page it isn't real.

Earlier today, GameStop had a page up explaining that if you preorder Battlefield: Bad Company 2 you would get beta access, which would start November 17th. The page was quickly taken down and the BFBC2 twitter had this to say:

Do not pre-order #BFBC2 from anyone for a Beta code until it's confirmed by DICE on Twitter and the Blog. Even if it's #GameStop!!!!

An EA spokesperson told Blend Games more details about the beta will be coming this week.

Update: Gamestop responded to three users on twitter stating that the BFBC2 beta is only for Playstation 3. This is NOT confirmed with EA or DICE. Take it with a grain of salt.

Most likely we will hear something this coming Friday, since there appears to a media embargo expiring then. Keep your eyes here for any new media and info that is released.

Alright, well, it remains to be seen whether November 19th is the launch date for Battlefield: Bad Company 2's beta as Gamestop claimed. However, the whole situation should be cleared up by Friday.

"As for the beta, we'll have more details later this week," an EA spokesperson told Blend Games. Hopefully "more details" means they'll reveal the platforms and/or launch date for the beta. If nothing else, they'll probably tell you how to earn a spot in it.

GameStop has since taken down the discount that mentioned the BFBC2 beta. Maybe they put it up early by accident? Regardless, the listing, as well as EA's statement, indicates that the game will be getting a beta after all. That's more than they were willing to admit last week.

Not a PS3 Owner?

Coming December, we will invite players to participate in a PC open beta. Then, early next year, all players worldwide will get to experience this premier shooter when we releases a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer DEMO on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.



Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be available on March 2, 2010 in North America and March 5, 2010 in Europe for the Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC.

Je hebt gelijk. Mijn reactie was misschien iets te voorbarig. Echter was het mij nog niet gelukt. Het formulier die je daarvoor moest invullen bleef maar stellen dat ik bepaalde velden niet volledig had ingevuld.

The PS3-exclusive Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta starts tomorrow, and DICE’ Gordon van Dyke has chatted a bit to Sony about what testers can expect. There’s a video below the break where he talks about the Arica Harbor map, the destruction you can cause thanks to the Frostbite engine, and how you can win a Beta key.

As many know, the much anticipated Battlefield: Bad Company 2 beta starts tonight / tomorrow on Playstation 3. The PC beta will start in December. If you don't have a PS3 beta key yet, head over to FilePlanet and grab a free key.

The cards that were given to people who pre-ordered BC2 at Gamestop say the beta is starting at 11pm PST. We do not know if this is correct or not. It's past 11pm PST now and codes do not work. Apparently people in Europe can already redeem their codes, download the game, but cannot enter an actual server (hence the game menu videos). North American codes apparently cannot be redeemed yet at the time of this post.

Playstation 3 owners can also download the new 3.10 update, which adds Facebook support allowing players to publish game accomplishments to their profiles. More info that here.

Er is een klein foutje in de beta codes voor Bad Company 2. Iedere key is namelijk gelijk. De beta is hier te downloaden op FilePlanet, maar voorlopig valt er dus niet zoveel mee te doen.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 laat je opnieuw ten strijde trekken met de "B company." Ditmaal zul je in vele verschillende locaties zoals koude bergtoppen, jungles en stoffige dorpjes ten strijde moeten trekken met een imposant arsenaal aan wapens. Ook ditmaal zullen voertuigen een grote rol spelen in de actie.

Stelletje campsletjes zijn het :/. Maar ondertussen sta ik met lege handen. Weet iemand al meer over de pc beta? Of waar ik me er al kan aanmelden voor zo'n ding?
