Introduction

As you all know Battlefield Heroes is going to be released soon. As one of the official server providers for both the EA servers and the Battlefield Heroes official ranked servers we will be hosting our own Heroes community of course. Supported by our Heroes fanstite, BattlefieldHeroes.net!

Our Community

As with counter-strike source we will be hosting a number of Battlefield Heroes community servers. As with our Counter-Strike community we will need an admin team to actively administrate the servers to keep it clean of "less desirable" individuals.

Since Heroes servers are quite a lot smaller than most of our community servers we simply decided that we would have more of them so we can still support the community. Currently we are planning to support our Heroes community with about 30 servers.

Admins Recruitment

Admin recruitment is starting right now. Our admin community is currently already over 75 members.

As an admin we expect you to be active on the community servers and the i3D.net forums. In return you will gain the ability to join an amazing community and play your favorite games (that's Heroes right!?) with all your friends. On hacker free servers that YOU help maintain!

Rules for applying:

- All applicants must be 16 or over to apply.
- Those under 16 may apply but stand a reduced chance of being accepted.
- You MUST become active on the i3D.net forums (check forums atleast twice a day), they are as much a part of the community as the servers are.

Because I see too many hackers that ruin the game experience. Lately I play as a commando, and if they snipe me at village from the lighthouse...I know something is terribly wrong.
Apart from that, lots and lots of people use bad language in the chat. I want to help the community make Battlefield Heroes a better (and more welcomer-friendly). Because Battlefield Heroes target audience are the casual players. But people yell and scream at the casual players all the time because they "suck" and "fail" and its better to leave and look for another game. Give those people a chance, everyone started like them!

There are alot of cheaters out there and they aren't getting banned soon enough. I always play on i3d.net servers due to the great latency they provide. The hackers and offensive players really have to be stopped and I'm more than willing to contribute to making the community servers a better place.

My intentions are quite simple, since I already play the game i reason with myself: why not make life better for me and other genuine players. I would never mix administering with any personal or profesional agendas and I would leave my role if I felt that I am or could be biased.

I am a programmer with knowledge of a couple of c syntactic languages and web as php ruby. I also have alot of experience of *nix based systems and server administration.

I'm very experienced with forums as I've administered and moderated several forums running off Invision Power Board, vBulletin, SMF, phpBB, and MyBB. By becoming an i3d administrator, you are allowing me to directly help fight the hacker and troll situation for the entire Battlefield Heroes community. More importantly, I know I can contribute to the i3d community in several different ways with my experience in various different fields. From a gaming perspective, I just love games. I play them all the time! I've even ran my own private servers for MMORPGs, which are much more difficult to maintain than shooter servers since they're essentially a whole world that a Game Master must cover. Combining that with my admin and moderator experience with several different websites and forums, I am more than capable of maintaining a peaceful, clean, and friendly environment. From a work experience perspective, I interact well with both staff and community. Currently I am a freelance website designer and developer where I work with clients to help build websites for their businesses, organizations, etc. I'm also currently designing and developing a community/social network targeted toward a young individuals interested in technology-based hobbies/careers in fields such as programming, web design, web marketing, film and video production, photography, graphic arts, and more! I have allot to say on this topic. But to keep it from going into a rant I will just simply point out a few things I would like to see vanish from the game as I have known it over the last 2 months:

1) HACKERS... There are so many running around on the aussie servers I have frapsd uploaded and edited videos of obvious hackers and reported them the way the forums suggest.....I have gotten frustrated and made posts on the forums asking why the hackers I have reported are still joining my games...with no responce....

I have reported the below video in the "help us ban the bad guy" thread again....no response.

2 of my best friends are currently leaving the game because they are sick of being shot from across the map while in stealth.

This foremost is the reason I would like to volunteer as an admin. I do not lightly throw out the accusation of hacker, but there are some people that just seem to log in and shoot people that are stealthed just to annoy them.

2) Over the top racism. Everything in moderation. But honestly the last few weeks I have been getting disgusted by a few individuals who regardless of requests to stop will continue blatantly throwing out racist remarks.

--I am going on vacation for the next 3 weeks so I will not be in game. I'm a mature adult well known in Australian circles.
