| Dirty Harry | ![]() In the latest Battleblog is DICE saying that they have implemented several server updates to improve stability and performance. This week they are publishing a significant Battlefield 3 client update for the PC. Console patches take a bit longer due to the certification requirements for console content, but it will follow shortly after the PC update. If you are wondering what's in the pc patch there you’ll see improved polish, stability, weapons balancing, squad control functionality, user interface enhancements, and several feature enhancements that address feedback the community has provided to date. Plus DICE is removing the so called “negative mouse acceleration” that some of you have experienced. The best way to deal with cheating and boosting, they continue to analyze data to identify and hold accountable (ban, wipe stats) players that cheat or boost. DICE have received questions about what to do when faced with unsportsmanlike conduct in Battlefield 3, the best course of action is to click the warning sign next to their profile name in Battlelog, or head to the EA Help Desk and report your issue. These leads will enable them to follow up on the report. Read more on: : i3D.net Game Forums /battlefield-series-news/180868-battlefield-3-incoming-update.html Source: BF blog

I get that they needed to fix boosters and the like, but making the start game limit 4 has seriously affected my server population. Why on earth they did not include a possibility to do more in the map without obtaining points Read more on: : i3D.net Game Forums http://forum.i3d.net/showthread.php?t=180868 whilst waiting for more people to join is a mystery to me. |

Having a few people playing quickly brings in more though and previously the server was filling up pretty quickly. Read more on: : i3D.net Game Forums http://forum.i3d.net/showthread.php?t=180868 Now it is dead since the patch came out. Unfortunately this will mean that no point in keeping the server going and I am pretty sure quite a few other people will feel the same way. The server community will have to put forward the importance of 'pre-round' game play (without stats) to alleviate the problem IMO and still make it fun to run a server. Ah well, lets see how things progress, there are so many negative posts on the new patch that I dont think they can just leave it as is. Time shall tell ! |
