Default Patch R28 vs. Mixed Mode?

According to the recent server-only patch R28 documentation, it says:

The game server will automatically switch to the next round if the server has been empty, and it has been on the same round for >2 hours - or if the game server is populated and has been on the same round for 8 hours
Since Mixed Mode is completely managed by BC2CC, the server doesn't know what the next level is if it gets to the last round of the current level. Does that mean it will just run the current level (map) over again?

I don't know why they made this change. I don't like it. I like to leave my empty server on Oasis Conquest mode, which tends to attract people to get the server started. Now it will change every 2 hours.

I don't like it either... I like to leave my servers on a small map so they can populate up. If it is sitting on something like Oasis or Harvest for 2 hours it never will. I front load my map list with small maps to build up the population and this will make it harder on me as my servers have had some really slow days lately.

If you run Mixed Mode with BC2CC then it will only upload 1 map to the server. So when you say it will run only that one map then it is true, but if they sent the right responses back to BC2CC on map reload, then BC2CC can see this as a change and put in the next map and that way you get the same affect as mixed map.

We have to test if this really happens, but will be a nice exercise.

PS A little update, we found a BIG bug in the daemon, so we have to postpone the beta testing a little.

Better to get it right then push it out broke. Take your time.

Bah! I really hate this new patch behavior. My server has been empty ever since the forced map advance has been running.

I'm going to complain about it in the DICE forum, but in the mean time, any chance of an automation feature to force the server back to a default map if there are 0 players and after a specified timeout? I'd set it to every 2 hours and 10 minutes.
