Videocard issue

Whenever I start Bad Company 2, after going into the main screen, I click Login and boom, there it goes into striped grey screen. Sometimes I can login and choose my player, but then again the screen turns OR completely grey, or striped grey zones.

Config
Windows 7 HP 64-bit, Core2Duo E8400 3,0Ghz, ATI4870, 8Gb mem.

On this PC I play BF2, COD Modern Warfare 2, Far Cry 2 and Crysis. Never a problem or crash, and always play at high detail.

With the BETA I had the same issues, reported those also. But now with final game, the same issues, so totally unplayable. Updated drivers, reinstalled game, but no solution..

Any tips - help ??

Try the 10.3 Beta Catalyst drivers. It's a leaked preview of this month's release (17th), many reported this version to solve their grey/green stripey problem.

Thanks - installed it but instead of Grey screen, it is now black... so not a solution.

Tried some other games as a check today, no problems at all, only again at Bad Company 2, just after Login

Any other solution or tip?

Try if turning off AI in control centre helps.

Also, some people report a temporary solution is to turn of fullscreen mode. To do this open ...documents/BFBC2/settings.ini and set Fullscreen=false (instead of Fullscreen=true) save it and start the game in windowed mode.

Oh and I suppose you thought of running the updater located in the Battlefield Bad company 2 folder?:

Also check if the firewall isn't blocking the game.
