Default Unanswered: Crysis Running slow?!

Hey guys

I've got some of a problem.
I recently read about Crysis warhead and it made me
grab to the normal Crysis disc. So I installed it again on my pc.
Now the problem is that when I press esc. or C for the weapon costumization menu my game like freezes for a few seconds (+- 10-15 seconds) and then I can customize my weapon.
When I close the menu it like freezes again for +- 10-15 seconds.

It's really irritating when you are in combat and you want to switch a grenade launcher on it or like a silencer or something.
You can see my system specifications in my signature.
I allready searched trough google but I couldn't find anything that helped me.
I updated my grafic card software, I update the game itself, tried to defrag my pc after and before installing the game, I also tried lowering my settings (Medium instead of high) but that didn't made a difference either.

Does anybody had the same problem and got it solved? or does someone knows a possible solution?
Allways welcome

Thx in advance
Maffia

PS: I have had this before but then my pc somehow crashed and after that I could run it smoothly.
But now it's f***ed up again.

Well, it must be a game glitch, or corrupt files on your end. It's for SURE not your hardware, because your hardware shouldn't have a problem with running it. Only thing I can say is try re-installing the game again, and if that doesn't work, try patching the game maybe? Get patch 1.2, then after installling that, get patch 1.2.1, it will also help your FPS. Hope I helped.

I allready tried that.
I have like 2 HD's in my computer and the first where windows and everything accually is installed is my oldest one. So I tried to re-instal it on my second HD because maybe my old one is going to "die".
Didn't help.

I then tried to put the disc from crysis in a different disc reader (it has to find the cd to play it so maybe a faster disc reader could solve the problem.) but it didn't.
I then tried to patch the game and that didn't work either.

So i'm kind off running out of ideas. :S

Did you already try to install all available Windows updates?

Could be yes. Do you have a restorepoint from the time before installing SP3? If you do, try playing with SP2.

Oh I thought installed SP3 a long time ago! But if you get the error before this update and after, the update isn't the problem right?

I think I should format my PC and re-install everything...
Think that's the best solution

Because it seems like my pc is running REALLY slow...
It's like some program is running in the background without me noticing it.
Since I got like trojan horsen and spyware on my pc 2 weeks ago.
Everything runs slowly etc.

Then you should scan your computer with an antivirus program, before formatting! (AVG or Avast! are free)

I did a few times...
AVG allways finds a trojan horse in my temperary internet files :S Trojan Horse Skeu or something.

@FDCP_General Death: Nothing special...
AVG (Idle) (37MB), NMIndexStoreSvr (20MB), NMBgMonitor (10MB), explorer (33MB), svchost (34MB) and PQV2iSvc (18MB) are using the most RAM.

(It runs 37 processes with a total use of 431MB)
