Default Ze_zombie_flats

Hello Community once more

once again im making a map ze_zombie_flats

What this map is going to do:

*Players have a freeform choice of 3 flats to go up*

*There is 3 helicopters in this map With a helicopter fight at the end*( Kinda like Spacestationz)

*Elevators with cameras so zombies can envy human
survivors escaping* Thanks to Prop maker

**

*Two Major secrets which i think no1 will find*


*Massive defend off for the helicopter*

Things I have to do: (I will underline things I have done)

1) Optimize man!

2) Get some textures I3D members Preference to what textures to the flats? Custom textures? Links?

3) Find out how to Combine a helicopter blade's to the body of a helicopter while it's moving.
Fellow mappers
need info on this 1 plz

4) Any other nits and bits which need minor fixing

5) Make the map completly balanced and enjoyable

6) Lighting making apart from the skybox

Help a mapper with constructive suggestions to textures, info , etc

Btw These flats are based in a south london suburban which tourists will not come across.

Screenies with no textures *Basic* here but give you the *general gist* of the map.

More screenies will come from the inside after i've finished with the lighting

You have to really really really REALLY optimize your map, because 3 helicopters will lag like hell IMO.

Update :OK First things First the Heli Is Done.
Finally. Due To The Shear scale of having 3 Helicopters I had To Make It As Simple as possible. When I complete the Func_tracktrain I'll post A screenie. It Also Has functional Rotating blades .

3) Is now done

Next thing The "Main Block" as I call it ,will scare you senseless with triggers as you pass will create sound effects, traps and fire etc and a hint on the stairs in the main block "heads up." Ill cant really post a screenie of sounds of noises and traps as Its a secret.
Also The Elevator is the scareist.

The "Main block" will be the most scary, but also the most rewarding. If you survive that is

Optimization for this map is going better than expected
with all these effects, noises, fire etc. But It is such pure hardness and long.

I have a question to ask
I terms of gameplay would you prefer 3 helicopters each passing a block and a fight at the end?

OR

1 Helicopter passing through two blocks of flats the first being the hardest and the second being easy so humans can fight off against the second block? (And the main block flat helicopter will resume as normal)
Any reply will be good. need this done soon

I know a place where this flat so I used my imagination
in creating this. lol

I did'nt realise how scary these textures can play out with sounds fire and stuff.

I just downloaded it, didnt play it yet. I saw that your rar. file had the bsp in it but it was called "zm_zombie_flats". That will also appear on our servers, so the best thing would be that you changed the bsp name and then re-add to fpsbanana.
