Each server has a 4x4 GB FB DIMM memory and are foreseen from 15.000 rpm Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disks from 146 GB each. But that is not all: The networkports from these servers work on gigabit speed and are foreseen from a special TCP/IP Offload Engine: this special processor takes over the TCP/IP network traffic and exonerates the CPU’s and OS from the servers.
