This week we received a lot of opposite statements from the ET: QW team.
In one interview Paul Wegdewood told us 'There's no restriction on the maximum that a server administrator can set', but Kevin Cloud says 'Sometime after release people will probably make 64 player maps and run bigger games, but a 400 player game is not in the foreseeable future'
So, it seems the engine supports bigger servers, but the game standard ships with maps fitted for 24 players and it's up to the modding community to create bigger maps to run bigger servers. I am wondering if the game will be shipped with a hardcoded playerlimit, like 64 players, due to performance reasons.
Maybe someone at the QW development team can shed some light on this issue?
