Robert Bowling mogelijk ontevreden over manier van werken

De redactie was gisteren zeer geschokt, Robert Bowling kondigde aan dat hij was gestopt bij Infinity Ward en op zoek ging naar een andere baan. Volgens Activision en hemzelf zou hij op zoek zijn naar een nieuwe passie, maar de meeste critici geloven daar niks van.

CinemaBlend brengt vandaag een geloofwaardige theorie naar buiten, volgens hen zou Robert Bowling ontevreden zijn over de manier van werken binnen Activision. Dit haalt CinemaBlend uit een interview tussen Machinima en Robert Bowling. In dit interview spreekt Robert Bowling niet als Community Manager, maar als gamer.

"Here is my philosophy on throw back maps: Old school maps, I love maps like that, I wanna see creek, I wanna see overgrown, I wanna see crossfire, I wanna see highrise. So my mentality on it is if you are going to do throw back maps, if you are going to do classic maps, keep it outside of the DLC model. Like for DLC, if you are paying for stuff and it's included in your subscription, it should all be new content. "Give me something new I've never seen before' and that's not something we've done in the past before we've included in traditional map packs."

Helaas vergeet Bowling het feit dat Activision geld moet verdienen. Mogelijk is er op de werkvloer hier wat onrust over ontstaan en heeft Bowling besloten om wat anders te gaan doen. Niemand zal het bevestigen, maar het is in ieder geval een logischere verklaring dan dat hij zin heeft om eens wat anders te gaan doen.
