Default [hlds_linux] some random crashes

All,

Anybody noticed some strange restarts? I've got a buch of servers that went
hanging, but even servers thats been running for ages without problems (even
empty ones)
Even on different platforms (windows and linux)

Just throwing it out there, it seems to have stopped now though.

Seems more instable, like I've read that some servers crash more often after
the last updates. Like above, some servers crashing which did not crash for
a long time.

Could just be me too.. :-)

Eric

I think valve are scraberling to solve the issue as it has gotten worse
which would suggest they have changed something that they thought would sort
it out but in fact has made it worse.

This should give you an indication: http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

This isn't really HLDS/SRCDS related, though.

Default [hlds_linux] to valve programmers - according to crash reports -gcc

Hi,

I would like to ask on which version of gcc/libraries and on which
operating system hlds and srcds has been compiled. I think that library
miss match is main reason for hlds beeing unstable, with all those

strange seg faults.
There is no official suggestion which distro or which libc should be
used for hlds/srcds.

regards
KN
