i3D.net Call of Duty 4 Cup restart

The cup management has decided to restart the i3D.net Call of Duty 4 cup due to several important reasons. Timing was the biggest issue. In the months between the release of CoD4 and the end of the poule phase of the cup, four new CoD4 patches had been released, several new mods spread out to competitive play and the rulesets were changing very quickly. As this is a cup, not a ladder, we should not develop our own ruleset but rather use a balanced, much played, proven ruleset.

The holidays in December also caused a large number of clans postpone their competitive play and in January this resulted in 30% of the subscribed clans terminated and another 20% of the clans cancelling this cup due to the old MCE ruleset and the inactivity in the poule phase.

We have chosen to implement the Clanbase ruleset and restart the cup. We request clans to subscribe to the cup once again and we will enforce the clan lineups to protect the quality of the cup.

Very strange and unprofessional decision made here. A lot of teams, like us (immortal), made it to the play-offs and were playing for a good place in the cup and OFCOURSE for the prices. Now suddenly we have to start all over again. So actually, we played these matches for nothing! We could have spended our time better. Dont start a cup if you quit it halfway. Very disappointing.

It was indeed a hard decision to make. We cannot continue a cup if in 3 months time the whole scene is turned upside down. As 50% of the clans signed up did not play anymore, we had no option. Only 5% of the poule matches have been played, that's not a big number.

Correct but in a different way. Only top 3 clans will recieve prizes and a fair play prize for the best representing clan.

Indeed Deadly, we've seen lots of complaints about the inactive clans after the holidays. Timing was really bad and hurts the cup.

We (Belgian Marine Corps) have joined the i3d cod4 cup. We haven't got our server for very long and i would like to know how to configure our server for the cod4 cup. Can someone help me with this please?

Vergeet bij het installeren van PAM ook niet de nieuwste rulesets te downloaden. Deze zijn verplicht om te installeren, aangezien anders de CB-rulesets niet worden toegepast in de games.

De PAM4 mod uit mijn tutorial heeft de CB Ruleset al ingebakken.

Nee klopt, volgens mij moet je eerst door een soort ballotage

Omdat er zoveel clans mee willen doen, er er maar een beperkt aantal plaatsen is.

Die hoef je niet zozeer in te stellen, maar je moet de ruleset downloaden en installeren. Als je dan vervolgens de CB regels wilt draaien op je server, moet je PAM hebben draaien. In de console typ je dan: /ron login [jouwpaswoord] en dan ben je ingelogd op je remote. Vervolgens kun je dus kiezen uit een aantal rulesets waaronder CB. Deze selecteer je door in je console hetvolgende te typen: /rcon pam_mode cb

En als je bijvoorbeeld de clanbase hardcore regels wilt draaien typ je: /rcon pam_mode cbhc
