Most guys over there have a very slow internet connection.

The story at Kandahar and Kabul is that there is a way to slow internet connection.

If you use to much bandwidth the system automaticly shuts down you internet connection for a period of time.

Another example: Your using msn and skype, in Kandahar this is already to much bandwidth and you trown out for another long few minutes.

But i am very curious if it is going to work out. There are more militairy bases in Afghanistan were it might work.

We work together with the internet provider at the army base. The provider will garantuee the available bandwith and not shut connections down.

All games will be local (base only) as the latency to Europe is 600+ ms!

If you have more feedback, it's very welcome! We will discuss everything with the army internet provider before we deploy the gameserver solution.

Wel maybe something finally changed, before the internet of the dutch army mostly depended on very bad local providers or we were blessed with some american internet .

Do you know if this offer also included Kandahar Airfield?

If so, people over there wil have a much nicer time in the desert.

Unreal Tournament 99
Quake 3 (eventueel met de CPMA mod)

Of een game als Warsow (gratis spel, Warsow*–*A Fast Paced First Person Shooter Game) dat is gebasseerd op de Quake 2 engine en elementen van Quake en Unreal Tournament bevat.

Deze games kunnen op vrijwel elke pc van rond het jaar 1999 gespeeld worden

Daar kan je ook de oude Enemy Territory aan toevoegen, overigens ook gratis en erg gaaf.

Hey Mensjes Moet zeggen dat ik niet veel gegamed heb op de base Ben te veel in actie geweest de rest spreekt voor zich. zit het meeste op teamspeak met mn vrienden home en msn ben nu over 6 weken thuis sorry dat ik nooit meer wat heb gepost heb er gewoon niet meer aan gedacht Toen ik mailtje van het event kreeg dacht ik eraan
