Xfire: bluezone66 ![]() | ![]() DICE, an Electronic Arts Inc. studio (NASDAQ:ERTS), today announced Battlefield: Bad Company 2™, the sequel to last year’s blockbuster title. In this installment, the Bad Company crew again find themselves in the heart of the action, where they must use every weapon and vehicle at their disposal to survive. The action unfolds with unprecedented intensity, introducing a level of fervor to vehicular warfare never before experienced in a modern warfare action game. To get ready for the assault this winter, players can prepare for action in Battlefield 1943™, an all-new multiplayer game available this summer via PlayStation®Store, Xbox LIVE™ Marketplace and on the PC. In Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the ‘B’ company fight their way through snowy mountaintops, dense jungles and dusty villages. With a heavy arsenal of deadly weapons and a slew of vehicles to aid them, the crew set off on their mission and they are ready to blow up, shoot down, blast through, wipe out and utterly destroy anything that gets in their way. Total destruction is the name of the game, delivered as only the DICE next generation Frostbite™ engine can. Either online or offline, enemies will soon learn there is nowhere to hide. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be available for the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the PC. Using the same Frostbite™ engine, Battlefield 1943 takes players back to WWII. The game offers endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Delivering the award-winning through-the-gun and vehicle warfare online experience DICE is best recognized for, Battlefield 1943 will have players battling in ruthless aerial dog fights and intense trench combat. Players can see the game in action at New York Comic Con (Booth #1441) from February 6th-8th. “Bad Company 2 takes everything that players liked in the original and ups the ante – more vehicles, more destruction and more team play,” said Karl Magnus Troedsson, Executive Producer Battlefield Franchise, DICE. “Battlefield 1943 is a new take on a blast from the past classic coming to life with brand new technology that we’re eager to get into players hands.” Read more on: : i3D.net Game Forums /main-bad-company-2/49521-bad-company-2-trailers-screenshots-news.html

Xfire: bluezone66 ![]() | The guys at 4Players.de posted up an interview from their visit to DICE, where they had a chance to interview Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Producer, Patrick Bach. Although many of questions could not be answered they did manage to get some new screenshots. (Via Google Translate) 4Players: Bad Company was a pure console game. The second part is on the other hand, also for the PC. Where does this sense of change? Patrick Bach: Because there are so many PC users there who are complaining we have not been able to play this title. We have the Bad Company-project than a mere console production is created because we felt that the PC community is not considered good enough for them would be, because PC owners are entitled to a certain degree of authenticity and realism, if it comes to weapons and equipment goes. When we published it, the PCler came to us and asked why we do not also for the PC have published. It is a good Battlefield titles, so why can we not play him? And we replied that we thought that they did not want to have. But Frostbite is also a PC Engine, so we have no major problems, the game on the PC to bring. And we do now in the second part too. Xfire: bluezone66 ![]() | ![]() PCGames.de released a new video interview with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Senior Producer, Karl-Magnus Troedsson. Official Xbox Magazine also posted up a small preview on Bad Company 2. Quite whether the gang have spent the truckload of gold they purloined at the close of the last game is as yet unknown - but you can be sure that you're off to places more exotic than the original game's Serdaristan, and that the leader of the ruthlessly efficient Legionnaires (last seen standing unscathed next to his wrecked helicopter and looking a little miffed) will be making a violent return.

Xfire: bluezone66 ![]() | Gamespot posted up a video interview with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 producer, Patrick Bach. Also check out their hands-on article, new screenshots and the premier of a new trailer. Read more on: : i3D.net Game Forums http://forum.i3d.net/showthread.php?t=49521 Battlefield: Bad Company marked the first entry in DICE's first-person shooter series to be designed solely for consoles. As part of that transition, the franchise's trademark 64-player online matches were scaled down to 24 in an effort to keep things running smoothly on trickier network configurations. Despite this, Bad Company's online multiplayer managed to preserve a lot of that chaos by way of newly destructible buildings and the remaining presence of vehicles.

Xfire: bluezone66 ![]() | If you missed the EA press conference stream you can check it out the Battlefield part below. The quality isn't that great and it has some lag and graphical glitches, but it's still somewhat watchable.
