21st Century Warfare is a tournament-style campaign game based on Battlefield 2, and the 21CW miniMOD (Currently being updated for BattleField2). 21st Century Warfare is not for the gamer that wants to do his own thing. You must be a team player and enjoy practice.
Unlike a clan ladder or other online tournaments, 21st Century Warfare players will participate in simulated wars, complete with commanding officers, divisions and platoons. Each week hundreds of players practice and go over strategies for there next battle. The players communicate using Teamspeak and the tournament forums.

When you join 21st Century Warfare you are assigned an army (Coalition or Opposition) and placed into one of the it's divisions (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Air Force, etc.). You will be given a rank and tags (new players always start as a private) and tested for any strengths you may have. The generals and other commanding officers will make strategic decisions on how and where his divisions will fight. Every week during the campaign the two armies will fight battles on maps that represent the territory being disputed. The maps are designed and tested by the 21CW MOD team and are balanced as much as possible. The battles are 12 hours long. This allows all the players to play as much or as little as they want. The progress of the war is displayed on main page strategy map where territories change color based on the controlling army.

21CW is based, as much as possible, on real military ranks and structure. We run it as if you where in the military (some of you are). You need to respect the players that have rank above you and never step out of line. The administration has and will not hesitate to remove or ban players that are not following the rules of the tournament and the commands of there superiors. The players that have rank have been with the tournament for a while. All of them will help you get use to the way of things. The reason for this tournament is to have fun and to

Ranks are giving out by the command staff. If you play in the matches, show up for practice, and follow orders you will get promoted.
You will become friends with other players from all over the world. At any given time the forums and the Teamspeak server are full of players that are practicing and just having fun.

With the major hostilities over in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the rebuilding process of these torn and tattered nations begins, so does a new era of global conflict.

The coalition has been spread thin over the last decade with the hostilities in the Middle East. This has led some to question the resolve and strength of the countries involved. A recent discovery in the Badakhshan province of Afghanistan of deep gold & oil deposits in the region coupled with China’s resentment of the US and some of it’s allies for not signing the Kyoto treaty has fueled a new era in hostilities.

As China makes alliances with a new coalition now know as the Middle East Coalition, or MEC; a well armed remnant of Taliban and Al q’aida fighters, they prepare to wage a bloody battle to gain control of the resources their country is now in desperate need of.

If China is allowed to gain control of the region, it could spell disaster for many economies worldwide as China would control one of the biggest deposits of the world’s MAJOR commodities, and be poised to roll the largest military in the world over the rest of the Middle East.
