The big question: will it be a new patch featuring several new maps and a new gamemode, or will EA release a boosterpack for Battlefield 2142 featuring the new maps Garmisch Partenkirchen and Karlbo, a third map and the new game mode?
A boosterpack containing a new gamemode is much more probable to happen than a new patch containing all these new additions for free. However, there is no new army included in these new maps and gamemodes, this fact favors the patch scenario instead of the boosterpack.

A new boosterpack always comes with a new patch for the game Battlefield 2142, a new patch comes with new bugfixes, so any possible scenario will include a patchrelease and new joy for the Battlefield community.
Further, we found out there are two new upcoming version on testservers at the moment: a 1.06.xx.0 release and a 1.07.xx.0 release featuring the new maps. Do not mistake these versions with the patch versions. Example: patch 1.06 is named version 1.05.23.0.
Two new versions in the betaloop could mean EA is expecting to release one new patch before they will release a new boosterpack together with a new patch.
Time will tell.

Mmmh, even denken... EA die gratis een paar nieuwe maps ter beschikking stelt? Ik denk dat de kans op een kabinet van Geert Wilders, Rita Verdonk, Femke Halsema en Jan Marijnissen groter is.
