INFO Delta Force: Angel Falls

mdat er nog niet zoveel bekend was over de game plant ik hier alle informatie neer die er al is. Er is namelijk al redelijk wat informatie, alleen is het nergens "gegroupeerd" tot nu toe.

De informatie:

• Er komt een anti cheat software bij de game, welke is nog onduidelijk.
• Volgends geruchten moet het een beetje op Delta Force: Black Hawk Down gaan lijken, een vorig deel (en het succesvolste deel) uit de reeks.
• Er zijn screenshots beschikbaar, deze zijn hier onder gepost.
• Het spel moet nog in 2008 uitkomen (deze zomer zelfs al, volgens onbevestigde geruchten).

De makers van het spel (Novalogic) hebben al sinds vorig jaar september niks van zich laten horen, tot op een paar maanden terug, toen maakten ze bekend dat "de development van het spel geflopt was en er opnieuw het project gestart werd".
Maar tot op heden heb ik weer niks van het spel gezien noch gehoord. Iemand die nog iets weet over dit spel? Want ik zit écht weer te wachten op een Novalogic game!

Six months ago, NovaLogic updated their website with a teaser image for Delta Force: Angel Falls. Now more information has been released detailing features, systme requirements and release date.



Description
Set in the north-west region of Central America in the near future, 'Delta Force: Angel Falls' takes the player to the rural, sparsely populated, jungle areas. Avoiding the over-exposed Middle Eastern settings, the South American environment provides a premise which is naturally beautiful and full of new millennium conflicts.

Marginal governments, involved in local expansionism, continually scuffle with each another and major global powers. Complicating the setting, drug cartels have evolved beyond money and violence driven entities to political forces rivalling established governments.

The sometimes local philosophy of 'your enemy is my friend and your friend is my enemy' gives rise to a multitude of ever-changing alliances and conflicts which drive the game's rapid action and easy-to-digest back-story. The culmination of the conflict takes place in the Angel Falls area of Venezuela.

According to this interview on Novahq the game is being built on a completely new game engine with the graphics and playability comparable to Crysis. Versions for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are also in development but are expected to be released under the title Delta Force: Cuba.

Delta Force: Angel Falls is pencilled in for a July 2009 release. NovaLogic have mentioned a demo is expected 6 months prior to release.
