use the background of the post as the background of the sig.

I dont see no white shit on your screenshot :P Perhaps its your monitor.
Do like this: Have a page open (such as the one u took the screenshot). Paste it into photoshop. Pick the colour of the space underneath your sig (thus outside of the sig but nto in the grey area) and use that colour as a background.

yeah. And since the part where u write your message / have your sig inside is white, it looks transparent ;)

Make sure u save it in png or gif.
Not sure if they allow sigs to be transparent, but the background is white anyhow.
