My idea is to make a city @ the spawn the spawn is one of the most things that can lure players so it needs to be good looking.
What we need is:
A shop where you can sell and buy blocks.
A market players can trade and sell/buy stuff from others.
A spawn with rules and information.
A gaint public mine.
Ofcourse spawnprotection.
Ground for sale in city where people can make a small house.
A teleportation room maybe handy for joining member world and creative world.

it requires bukkit for the next part.

According to the Millénaire FAQ it doesn't work on SMP.

I don't know what mod the servers are using but it works the same but npc's can be chest and blocks like:

In the shop you see a line of blocks diamond dirt coal ect. under the block you see the sell price and the buy price.
With chests you ask a admin to place a chest with a sign what the player wants so if he needs wool he gets a chest that only he can open where people can sell theyr wool this will be taken from the player that wants the wools cash.

Does this mod work like that if I and roy go build a city to x5000 z5000, i can trade stuff with andy and awoken who has built city to x-5000 z-5000?

(what i got from the video, is that you can trade stuff with NPC's and the town was NPC town, pls moar info!)

My idea for that was the market a big house with little shops that players can rent/own and sell/trade theyr stuff maybe a /join market command

Ok if its ok with johnny we will make the city in creative mod, best biome will be plain field with no jungle edged next to it so we dont get weird grass/water.

It needs to be good lighted so no mobs will spawn in it

i only go for survival mode nothing better than taking time to build your things, and be beable to press buttons, doors without breaking them

it did not activate the button for me, it might be a setting set wrong but i only can press buttons with leftclick, same for doors
