Weet iemand info over de Patch 1.6

Ja er bestaat een beetje misverstand over dat artikel.

1. Deze maps komen in de eerste plaats alleen voor de consoles Xbox 36 en PS3
2. Deze maps komen niet met de Xbox 360 Deature patch maar komt via de DLC (Downloadable content) die binnen enkele maanden beschikbaar wordt voor deze consoles.

De feature patch verscheen gisteren. Het kan zijn dat IW de maps ook voor de PC uitbrengt, maar ze hebben daar nog niets over gezegd.

En anders zal er toch vast wel iemand slim genoeg zijn om die maps te kunnen kraken en op de PC werkende te krijgen? De engine is immers hetzelfde. Alleen moet het bestand van de PS3 of X360 naar de pc worden gehaald. Ik durf te wedden dat de map (gecodeerd of niet) gewoon gelijk is aan de map files op de pc.

In ieder geval is de codering van de .ff files gebaseerd op de Xbox technologie, dus je hebt inderdaad groot gelijk!

Als het zo simpel is, dan kan ik me niet kunnen voorstellen dat IW ze dan niet zal releasen voor de pc

Leuk weetje: ik ben niet de enige die denk dat IW wat met de Mapping Contest gaat doen.

Op het IW forum was er dit gepost:

kriDje: "Hm, sounds crasy: At the end of March expires the Mapping Contest, and I hope IW will add the winning map(s) to the patch. But it is still a crasy idea of me "

Se4r: "No kridge that is a very realistic suggestion IW obviously want the contest maps in the 1.6 patch so unless IW are going to release the 1.6 patch without the contest map and then release the contest map in 1.7 we shouldnt be expecting the 1.6 patch till June also just my 10c worth"

Dat ze er iets mee gaan doen is logisch, maar of er ook een map bij zit die aan hun voorwaarden en ideeën bij zit is nog maar de vraag.
Als er iets bij zit zullen ze hem of zo gaan bijvoegen, na uitgebreid testen op bugs of nog aanpassen.
Testen op bugs zullen ze wel moeten doen.
Voor hetzelfde geld heeft de maken een klein gaatje in een gebouw gemaakt, die je niet ziet, om zo op een ideale plek te komen...................

Dat met die bugs zal idd veel tijd gana kosten, maar ik denk wel dat IW vooral op de wensen van de community let.

Anyway, dat die 3 maps ook voor de PC gaan komen is eigenlijk wel een logische beredenering.

As for the PC version, Patch 1.6 will be the one that introduces the new Kill Cams and other features the console feature patches received for you guys. The work is done on that patch and it’s essentially awaiting and going through internal QA here at Infinity Ward and then Activision. The good thing about the PC version is it doesn’t require any certification so as soon as it’s finished internal QA it heads out the door to the players. I will try to get a full list of what PC Patch 1.6 includes as I believe there are a few more PC specific things in there besides just the added Kill Cams and such. Don’t forget we still have the Custom Map contest going until March 31st, if you have the PC version and want to check out all the cool custom maps everyone is making we have a running list going with all the current releases and beta maps in the works. Oke we zijn ruim een maand verder. Gisteren is bekend geworden dat de zesde patch van Call of Duty 4 er eindelijk aan gaat komen. De patch zal behalve fixes in usermaps ook de nieuwe killcams bevatten.

Patch 1.6 bevat geen maps, maar IW wil wel binnenkort de Variety Map Pack dat de vier maps Broadcast, Creek, Chinatown en Killhouse bevat, voor de PC uitbrengen.
