First Call of Duty 4 DLC Preview + Screens

Gamespot.com’s Brad Shoemaker stopped by the studio last week to check out the new DLC we’ve been working on and posted up his impressions today along with some of the first screenshots to ever go public from the new maps. There will officially be four new maps in the map pack, and Brad goes over two of them in depth, including the new map Broadcast and Creek.

The second map we played is entirely new, and it’s named Creek. But there’s a lot more to it than a simple babbling brook. This is a very large-scale outdoor map with a small cluster of houses on one side of it. In the middle, there’s a huge ravine circling the perimeter with multiple levels of pathways up its side. Down below, the trail leads along the eponymous creek bed to a waterfall. Elsewhere along the base of the ravine, there’s a lengthy and winding cave that cuts underneath the hill then out to the other side. As big as it is, there are a lot of places to go on this map; from prone sniping atop the cliff face to hiding out behind a rock in the tunnel, you never know where an opponent will be attacking you.

En bovenstaand plaatje van creek doet me in eerste opzicht aan overgrown denken.

Ja, en Overgrown heeft ook van dat struikgewas.

Toch zegt men dat deze map niet lijkt op de andere maps, daarmee bedoel ik de Midden-Oosten/Russische stijl. Afijn, we zien het vanzelf.

Cinatown (Carentan remake) ziet er vet uit,
alleen komen ze helaas voorlopig niet voor de pc versie.

Hoe weet jij dat? Ze komen voor de PC net zo goed als voor de consoles

alleen weet men nog niet hoe ze het gaan importeren in de PC.

Hm ja als je 't zo bekijkt wel.

Maar ik weet wel zeker dát ze komen voor de PC. En al zou het geld kosten, zal dat heus wel betaalbaar zijn.

Voor alleen mappen betalen vind ik een beetje ver gaan.
Ik vind dat dat gewoon bij de servicepatch hoort.
Een spelletje kost al bijna € 60,00 als je dan ook nog moet betalen voor een paar extra velden wordt het wel duur allemaal.
En als iemand die velden koopt en aanbied via internet wordt de bescherming daarvan wel erg moeilijk.

voor de console-versies moet je betalen..voor de pc tja dat weet men nog niet inderdaad...

The PC will be getting the new kill cams and such in the 1.6 Patch which is currently awaiting it’s testing cycle. We’re still trying to work out how the map packs can work on PC.

Heel spannend, zeg! Maar ze MOETEN de maps wel brengen voor de PC, al willen ze de PC Community ook goed supporten. Ze kunnen het niet maken deze maps niet voor de PC uit te brengen.
