How long have you been gaming?

Hey everyone,

I'm just very curious for how long you guys are gaming now. And what games you played in these years.

I will go first:

Enlisted in 2005 by a friend, who showed me Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. In 2006 I bought BattleField 2, I'd heared great things about that game. 2007 Still playing much Wolfenstein and Battlefield 2. Now in 2008 I downloaded Team Fortress 2 and played Call Of Duty 4 for a while. I still think BF2 and Wolfenstein:ET are the best games, they have the best gameplay. COD4 is just shooting and no good tactics, maps are too small and it's too easy to gain ranks. Team Fortress 2 is a great game but the archievements are too hard to get for me, so I got bored of it.

I've played Battlefield 1942 and the demo of the game also in 2004. Then Battlefield 2 came out which I played for 1½ years from the start in 2006. Now I'm playing Crysis also from the start in november 2007.

BF2 is what I believe the best game I've ever played since then. Not sure if Crysis will change that, but we'll see.

In august 2006 I bought my own pc. In september a friend told me I had to buy CoD1 . Since then I'm addicted to the CoD serie . That friend is now my best friend .

Since 3 years back i only play Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, i played diablo 2 and Ultima Online a very small bit. And since 2 of the 3 years ET i intrested myself into servers in ET etc

Well I began with my Playstation in 1998, played a lot with it. After that I played worms, delta force 1 and 2, close combat 5 invasion normandy on the PC. Then we got a new PC (end of 2002) and a friend introduced me intro Strike Force (a Unreal Tournament mod). 2 months later I was playing medal of honor allied assault and spearhead.

I played Day of the Tentacle on dos....LOL I played all those stupid space invaders and tetris and oldschool pinball and stuff like that back on the old windows days.

I remember MOOing/MUDing online where you roleplay in a text based environment, so oldschool.

Then a very very tiny bit of Doom and Quake, UT99, CSS, UT04, Oblivion, WoW, GW etc

And now I'm addicted to my NDSLite <3

Since then, I only used to play single player games (Diablo, Narsillion, etc), then to only playing MMOs (Nexus, Dark Ages, etc), then I discovered FPSs. I didn't really get into RTSs, although if you didn't play Starcraft where I come from, you were a social outcast lol

I bought CSS about a year ago, I think. I can't remember exactly cos when I first bought it, I didn't play it very much. I only started playing CSS a lot when I discovered ZM lol.

E: Believe it or not, I've never owned a handheld gaming console :'(

When i was 6 or something (1994?) when we got an old PC with DOS and a bunch of games, i mostly played games like Raptor and Tyrian, Lemmings and stuff like that. (I had about 70 games but i cant remember most of them. )

My first game was pong and tennis, hehe what a time. was 1979, and what funny it was.
Later cames a c64 and then a Nintendo, that was a quantin jump.

1996 I have my first real PC, 120MHz Processor, 64MB-RAM, and I think 32MB GPU, haha , at this time it was the ultimate quick PC
1997 a buy a Nintendo64.
2000 a take a PS2
2003 follow the X-Box, and PS2
2005 PC AMD4200X2 7950Nvidia GPU 512MB, 2GB-RAM
2007 PC Intel 6850 Dualcore 2x3,0GHZ Nvidea8800GTX 720MB thats a fun mashine.

I have so many games, racing, shooter, strategy, ....

My favorits ATM are BF2142, BF2, Need for Speed, GTA-serie, and HALO.

So I'm a gamer since 1979.
