Ventrilo freezes on "MSG: Synchronizing"

Ventrilo freezes on "MSG: Synchronizing".



I've googled, but I havn't found any answer that worked.

A couple of months ago, I didn't have any trouble with vent, but when I opened my port - the message came.

I start my vent, press "Connect" and it freezes on "MSG: Synchronizing". My guess would be that it is a router/port problem, since it came when I opened my port.

And also, when I opened the port, a problem came where I couldn't download add-ons and stuff, BUT ONLY WITH I.E. If I go to FireFox, and download the same thing, it will work.

His Ventrilo worked fine before, this error just came up the other day...

Router is the same, no other antivirus/firewall was installed.
We have uninstalled ventrilo, deleted both ventrilo folders in program files and appdata.
Installed ventrilo again and the problem is still not solved.

Computer is running Windows Vista 32bit, ventrilo version 3.0.5

1. Some had to change ports
2. Some had to disallow firewall
3. And some had to un-plug their modem from electricity, wait 5 minutes, and plug it in again.
