Hoe houden we cheaters uit onze server?

Greetings,

In a few days we will start renting an official honor server and would like to keep cheaters out of our server and of course the community but how will this be done? Knowing nothing yet about server management I’m looking to learn how to aply PB checks etc …

What we would like to do is keep cheaters out and if possible away from our server. I.A.W. cooperate with the anti cheating and AAO community in a decent manner

I have checked out the tutorials but still … What must we do to keep PB updated regularly and how do we put in those ban lists I read about?

We are totally clueless on this subject so any help and/or advise will be much appreciated.

I know this is an old post, but the following might help new America's Army serveradmins.

1.Go to http://www.airdaleops.com/index.php?board=65.0 and register on the website.

2.Download the Airdale Ops Network - Admin Panel v3.2
(get latest version)


3.Install the Admin Panel.

4.In the panel, go to the Account Setup tab

Fill in your forum username and pass you just registered with.

5.Go to tab Server config. Rename a server instance
(name your server)

6.Select remote Server.
Fill in your FTP Address (xx.xxx.xxx.xx)
and FTP username and FTP Password

7.Fill in FTP Port (default 21)

8.Select your Path to PB Folder.
If your gamehost is i3d.net, select Custom and type /System/pb in the box.

9.Select Server Instance Type Normal.

10. Hit test FTP.

11. Make sure Punkbuster is enabled on your server, it schould udate itself.

12. ( We are stil in the "server config" tab)
Select Clean pbsvss.htm, unselect enable PBUCON Client.

13. You might want to check screenshots before you update scripts.

14. ( We are stil in the server config tab)
Hit Update Scripts

15. A screen wil appear, showing you the progress of update, this might take some time, the screen will close when finished.

16. you can close your Airdale Ops Network Admin Panel now.

17. Restart your server.

18. You're done

19. When you join your server, a message will appear "AON status: Active".

You have uploaded about 13 public scripts and over 55.000 bans, and your pb log streams to AON.

This will keep caught cheaters from your server, and have public cvar checks now.
You can stream to several Anti Cheat orgs.

When you use Airdale Ops Network Admin Panel,
All you have to to is add this to "Global Scripts Editor, example:

pb_sv_logaddr "208.75.148.62"
pb_sv_logport 10700
pb_sv_loguser "Guardians Demon" <-- any name you want
pb_sv_logpw ""

Then you also stream to ACI, no need to register at
ACI.

You can additionally stream to pbbans and AASA, for that you need to register.
