Need For Speed - EA Access members will be able to play 10 hours.

The EA Access trial for Need For Speed will grant 10 hours of uninterrupted playtime with the full game, EA has confirmed. The trial, which goes live tomorrow, will grant players complete access to the full game within that time slot, ahead of next week's release. You will be able to drive all the cars, mod them as much as you like, and listen to all the beardy men talking to you in the cutscenes. There won't be any restrictions. The said on Need For Speed's Twitter account:

If you want to try a subscription to EA Access, it costs £3.99 monthly or £19.99 annually. The service is currently only available on Xbox One. Need For Speed launches on Xbox One and PS4 next Thursday, November 5, speeding ahead of the PC version which is due early next year.

Need for Speed - Will Have a Substantial Amount of Free DLC.

Typically when one hears about EA's plans for DLC with one of their franchises, eyes roll to the back of the head and palms meet faces. However, EA is reporting that the DLC they're planning for Need for Speed will be free. Creative director Craig Sullivan told Vice:

At least this time with Need for Speed, players won't be purchasing new cars or fun boosts. Maybe new new tracks will also be part of the substantial DLC, although at this point, all we have is speculation and conjecture.

Need for Speed releases today, November 3, 2015 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will release for PC with an unlocked frame rate in early 2016.

Need for Speed - Getting neons, a fix for rubber-banding AI in the next patch.

The first major update to Need for Speed is a few days away and it brings much-needed changes. Need for Speed developers at Ghost Games have outlined what we can expect from the game’s upcoming update.

This is going to be the first update after its launch nearly two weeks ago. The headline feature here is a fix for AI rubber-banding – which we, and many of the game’s fans, found very distracting. Neons will also be introduced with the new patch. Find all the changes below. The update is due before the end of November.

    • More balanced ‘AI Catch Up’
    • New Wrap Editor features:
    • Mirror functionality
    • Improved colour picker
    • Hoonicorn and Morohoshi-San Diablo
    • Gifted upon completion of their respective narrative threads
    • First look at neons
    • Early in development version on Morohoshi-San’s Diablo
    • REP increase 50-60
    • 3x Trophies & Achievements
    • New daily challenges
    • x30 new pre-set wraps
    • General bugs, tweaks and improvements
Ghost Games added that a hotfix was released last week on Xbox One to address the stuttering issue. Need for Speed is out now on PS4 and Xbox One, with the PC version following early in 2016.

Need for Speed - Legends Update.

There aren't many characters in Need for Speed history who are as legendary as Eddie. After a decade of doing his own thing, he’s back, and heading straight towards Ventura Bay. Pick up the Deluxe Edition to receive the BMW M3 E46 as a tricked out starter car.

Need for Speed - Is hitting PC in March, and there's a new trailer teasing what you'll be getting.

Need for Speed will finally hit the PC on May 15, months after its original release on PS4 and Xbox One. The home computer version will see tweaks and upgrades over the original release, with Need for Speed on PC capable of running at 4K on compatible monitors - and if your rig is up to it.

There's also the opportunity to use manual transmission (which is coming to the console versions at some point) and compatibility with a number of different steering wheels. And then there are all the updates already released for PS4 and Xbox One as well. All this releases on March 15, though if you're a member of EA Origin Access you can start playing on March 10.
