Re-launching the CS:GO server(s).

    Dear i3D-member,

    We're going to re-launch CS:GO. We'll start with just one server this time and if we can populate that server well enough, we can have a look for another one.

    Back in the time CS:GO was launched, we released 16 servers at the same time. This appeared to be a little bit too much for our admins and community and resulted in the removal of all servers due to inactivity. Nowadays, CS:GO is more popular than CS:S and therefore we feel it's time to re-launch this part of the i3D.net Counter-Strike Community.

    I would like to hear if you own CS:GO and what mod you would like to see. Feel free to discuss everything related to CS:GO, but please stay ontopic!

    Normal Hostage/Bomb standard maps with bots. A boring choice, but with bots on it will be easier to populate a server, rather than a mod that would require lots of attention.

    Or Surf DM.

    A Deathmatch server with standard maps like, dd2, nuke, inferno, cache etc.

    Vanilla no DM would be nice IMO. Surf DM is also pretty fun.

    Edit - Mini Games is also a good option.

    Would like to add more suggestions:
    -Classic maps server
    -Multigames
    -Deathmatch
    - I tried some hide and seek where you have to hide as objects that already exist on the chosen maps that was pretty fun.

    So, is this CS:GO i3D server already set up or .. ?
    CS:S seems to be dying out rather fast and I'm thinking of playing some more CS:GO in the future, it's a good game and now that CS:GO has fixed their ze_ settings I'm sure more people will start to play the game ( mod ). Only thing that should change IMO is removal of smoggrenades and HE-grenades, they can be rather annoying.

    There are ways to bypass the knockbackbug with plugins now. It is a good idea, but there are 2 super optimized servers with all the grenade effects.
    It is hard to create a better one, it will take a lot time =)

    Didn't had the time to set this server up, still planning it soon, but might wait for new server to avoid ip-change.

    Why do you think they are annoying? Do you think they are annoying in CS:S too? I think smoke would only improve team killing, but if the zombie's get there knife and one smoke grenade that would be quit cool.

    Reminder, the default ZE with sourcemod stuff will cause in lagg. There is no stable plugin to run ZE.
    Customization is required to run it smoothly. The only one at the moment is Zombie Europe. (1# ranked in cs:go)

    He will not share his sources, because its special. I understand that, so a pawndeveloper is needed to run it without errors.

    As there is a working ZE for CS:GO now, what's the current status of this server?

    We tweaked the knockback settings a bit yesterday..
    We're getting closer to our goal.
