I love being right (i.e. I predicted this way before UT3 was released)UT2003 was released -> people wanted UT'99 UT2004 was released -> a lot of people still wanted UT'99 UT3 was released -> some people still wanted UT'99; others wanted UT2004 "Many were increasingly of the opinion that they'd all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no one should ever have left the oceans." -- Douglas Adams in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" Substitute "trees" with UT2004; and "oceans" with UT'99. Even if you would recreate UT'99 you would still not get UT'99 (unless you keep everything the same, but in that case, why bother). Recreating the levels with more details results in a different experience, and maybe even different gameplay. Just look at all the CTF-Face generations, all 3 UT generations have the exact same layout. But simply flyinf through them (i.e. no gameplay) gives you a different experience. Personally, I would rather see something new. Because I've seen the old, and can go back to the old when I want to. I don't want to go forward to the old. That might even result in a paradox and destroy the universe. -- Michiel "elmuerte" Hendriks elmuerte (AT) drunksnipers (DOT) com the Unreal Admin page http://www.unrealadmin.org ut3servers archive (do not post outside this mailing list): http://lists.unrealadmin.org/archive/ut3servers Read more on: : i3D.net Game Forums /unreal-tournament-3-newsletter/40615-re-ut3servers-dont-call-us-well-call-you.html u/p: ut3servers/srevres3tu --------------------- TO LEAVE THE LIST --------------------- Write to LISTSERV (AT) LIST (DOT) EPICGAMES.COM and, in the text of your message (not the subject line), write: SIGNOFF UT3SERVERS |
