Downloads: Uploads: | Hello Bob, If you mean the black/white PPE, check the UTFrontEnd again, they use PostProcessVolumes for that. If you mean an other PPE like one you set after loadig the scene, be sure your camera (which goes through your level and is bound to the matinee) doesnt have bCamOverridePostProcess (from the top of my head) set. Downloads: Uploads: | I would guess it's related to us messing with the post processing in the level in code for v2.0, although I can't find it (and Steve isn't here to ask - he made the change IIRC). Why do you need it prefixed with UTFrontend? I do see that prefixing your map with that name will force the gametype to UTEntryGame... Downloads: Uploads: | Thanks for the quick responses. The prefix removes the crosshair and UT3 copyright stamp up top, so it looks more official, but I remember running into an argument for it doing a great many other things (removing the scoreboard overlay when coming back from a match for example). The screens are attached, demoing this change. Do I need to create my own entry gametype? P.S. If you would like a high res version for your desktop, please let me know =) From: UT3 Mods [mailto:UT3MODS (AT) LIST (DOT) EPICGAMES.COM] On Behalf Of Josh Adams Sent: Thursday, April 09, 2009 06:41 To: UT3MODS (AT) LIST (DOT) EPICGAMES.COM Subject: Re: [ut3mods] EntryGame and Post Processing I would guess it's related to us messing with the post processing in the level in code for v2.0, although I can't find it (and Steve isn't here to ask - he made the change IIRC). Downloads: Uploads: | If you have a full mod (using -mod), you can replace the DefaultGame and DefaultServerGame in DefaultGame.ini with your own gametype. If you override SetGameType(string, string) in that gametype with your own version you can give any map the gametype of your choice. Then you can give it a gametype that does all the remove stuff, but that doesn't turn off postprocessing. Downloads: Uploads: | Hello Bob, Although I feel a little ignored with my previous exponse I want to let you know that you can remove the Copyright-notice by overwritting the DrawEngineHUD() in the associated HUD file. Besides that, not using the prefix makes your level run the UTGame.DemoGame gametype. Now, I obviously don't know your MOD setup, but you can change the default startup map in your DefaultEngine.ini, after you did, add it to your GameInfo class (the one that gets run by default) // Parse options for this game... static event class<GameInfo> SetGameType(string MapName, string Options) { super.SetGameType(MapName, Options); if(Left(MapName, <size of mapname without extension, like 9>) ~= "<mapname with extension>") { return class'<yourmodpackage>.<yourentrygame>'; } } As a tip, let your <yourentrygame> extend DemoGame. Then tell it to use a HudType that has the following function: function DrawEngineHUD(); //Override it Then launch your mod and you should be seeing a PPed scene without the HUD. I completely dropped the whole Prefix thing in Project Stealth, but thats a matter of taste.
